Enable location permission

OfficeGx needs your browser's location permission to record where you clock in and clock out. Without it, we can't accept your attendance entries. If you're seeing a warning banner across the top of the page, or your Clock In / Clock Out button returns "Location access is required to clock in/out", follow the steps for your browser below.

Why do we ask for this?

Location is captured only when you clock in or clock out — it's stored with your punch record so your manager and payroll can verify on-site attendance. It is not tracked continuously and is not shared outside your company.

Still not working?

  • Corporate laptop or managed device: your IT team may have blocked location for all sites via group policy. Contact your IT administrator and ask them to allow officegx.com.
  • VPN or privacy extension: some VPNs and privacy browser extensions block location by default. Disable them for officegx.com or add it to their allow list.
  • Incognito / Private window: permissions granted in normal mode don't carry into private browsing. Grant again in the private window, or use a normal window.
  • Windows / macOS system-level location: if your operating system's location service is turned off entirely, no browser can request it. Turn on:
Windows: Settings → Privacy & security → Location.
macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Still stuck? Reach out to your HR or Support administrator — they can help re-enable your device or verify company policy.
