How do I update a Lead's status and what do the different stages mean?

To update an existing lead, go to Customer > Leads, click the Edit icon on the desired lead in the grid, you must select a Lead Status from the dropdown and provide a Status Description. Below are examples of descriptions based on the selected status::

  • New: Lead has been captured in the system but no contact or action has been taken yet.
  • Assigned: Lead has been assigned to a sales executive or owner and is awaiting first contact.

  • In Process: Lead has been contacted and is actively being followed up or qualified.

  • Converted: Lead has been successfully converted into a customer, account, or opportunity.

  • Recycled: Lead is currently not ready or responsive but may be revisited in the future.

  • Dead: Lead is no longer viable due to disinterest, invalid data, or clear rejection.

After Updating the new status, click Save to update the record. You can track these changes in the Lead grid to monitor your sales pipeline progress.
