How do I manage employee onboarding and configure onboarding tasks in OfficeGX?

To automate and manage the employee onboarding process in OfficeGX, you can add new employees, auto-load onboarding tasks, and customize configurations by project or role. The system supports dynamic due date logic using placeholders for key dates.

Follow these steps:

  1. Login to officegx.com with your credentials.
  2. Navigate to the left menu and click:
    People → Onboarding
  3. From the onboarding screen, click on “+ Add Employee” to open the employee creation form.
  4. Fill out key employee information such as:
    • Name
    • Start Date
    • Notice Period
    • Probation Period
    • Designation
    • Project
Then click “Add” to save the employee.
  5. After adding, click “Update and Load Task”to automatically populate onboarding tasks for that employee.
    • The tasks are generated based on rules configured by Project, Role, or Global Onboarding defaults.
  6. To configure onboarding templates, go to:
People → Config → OnBoarding Tab
  7. Here, you can define:
    • Task categories and task names
    • Dynamic due datesusing placeholders like:
      • #StartDate#
      • #NoticePeriod#
      • #ProbationPeriod#
         For example:
(StartDate - NoticePeriod) - 10 sets the due date to 10 days before the start date minus the notice period.
  8. For role-specific or project-specific task rules, go to:
    • Role OnBoarding: For assigning tasks based on designation.
    • Project OnBoarding: For assigning tasks based on project.
  9. Once tasks are loaded, they appear under the OnBoarding Tasksection in the employee's profile.
    • Tasks will show due dates, status, and can be marked as complete.
    • Overdue tasks will be highlighted in red for visibility.

⚠️ Be sure to configure onboarding rules in advance for roles and projects to ensure task automation works smoothly when adding new employees.
