How to Config Types in Project Management System?

Before Assigning Types of Work Item, first, we need to config Types in PMS

  • Click on Context Menu Project Config Types.
  • Click on Config feature, it takes you to Project Management Configuration page.
  • You can see some tabs on the top of that page like

  • Projects
  • Categories
  • Statuses
  • Types
  • Priorities
  • List View
  • Properties
  • Board
  • Click on Types Tab, you can see "Add New record".
  • Click on "Add New record", you will be taken to Add Page.
  • You will find the fields on the page namely
    • Name
      • Name Indicates the Title of "Type"
    • Description
      • You need to Describe about the Title of type .
    • Display Order
      • Display Order is nothing but an order which is listed in the drop down.According to the chosen numeric the Types will be displayed in the dropdown.
    • Is Default
      • To View as a custom type you need to enable "Is Default" checkbox.
    • Parent
      • Main root to the child work item.
    • Styles
      • Here you can choose Font color and Background Color for the status which you are adding.
      • Result can be seen in Work items.
  • Once after filling all these fields on the page click on "Add" button.
