How to use branding in OfficeGx?

The Branding section allows your organization to customize the platform’s appearance with your own logo, brand name, and domain. It helps you provide a white-labeled experience to your users and customers, aligning OfficeGx with your brand identity. It reinforces your company’s identity on all internal and external interfaces, builds trust and professionalism, and supports custom domain mapping using CNAME so that the platform reflects your domain rather than officegx.com.

🔗 How to navigate to the Branding section

    • Log in to your OfficeGx account as an Administrator.
    • Go to Administration > Company Settings > Branding.
    • The page will display options for Logo, Brand Display Name, Website, and CNAME configuration.

📝 Steps to configure Branding

    • Enable Branding: Toggle the Branding switch to ON.
    • Upload Company Logo: Click “Select files…” to upload your logo. Supported formats: .gif, .jpg, .png. Max size: 300 KB. This logo appears on the login screen and throughout the portal.
    • Set Brand Display Name: Enter the name you want shown across the platform (e.g., RedandBlue).
    • Enter Website: Provide your company’s website or preferred subdomain (e.g., erp.redandblue.com). This will be the domain your users access the system from.

🌐 What is the CNAME record and how to use it?

CNAME (Canonical Name Record) allows your custom domain (e.g., erp.yourcompany.com) to point to OfficeGx’s servers, so your branded instance is accessible through your own domain.

    • Log into your Domain Name Provider account.
    • Open the DNS Zone Editor under the Domains section.
    • Select your domain from the dropdown.
    • Scroll to the CNAME section and click Edit.
    • Add or modify the CNAME record:
      • Set the value to: 47e2b2d4277e4addace933c33b6231f3.officegx.com
    • Click Save and then Add Record to finalize.

This ensures that visitors to your custom domain are routed to your branded OfficeGx instance.
