What is Auto-Clockout?

The Auto-Clockout feature ensures that employees do not accidentally remain clocked in beyond their working hours. If a user exceeds the configured time limit without manually clocking out, the system will automatically clock them out.

🔴 This entry is flagged as a red time log and will require approval from the reporting manager to be validated. This helps in maintaining accurate records and preventing misuse.

  1. 🔐 Go to www.officegx.com and log in using your Administrator credentials.
  2. 🕒 From the left sidebar, navigate to Time → Config.
  3. ⚙️ In the Time Management Config page, locate or add the following keys to control Auto-Clockout behavior:
    • EnableAutoClockOut 🔄 – Set to true to enable automatic clock-outs for users.
    • AutoClockOutRequiresApproval 🛑 – Set to true to make auto-clockout logs require manager approval.
  4. 📋 Time log approval is triggered in the following situations:
    • 🌐 Unauthorized IP: User clocks in from an IP not listed in the company’s allowed IP list.
    • 🕒 Manual Clock-In: User forgets to clock in and submits a request with custom clock-in time.
    • 🕘 Manual Clock-Out: User forgets to clock out and requests a custom clock-out time.
    • ✏️ Editing Time: User modifies an already submitted clock-in/out time.
    • 📝 Request Log: User adds a backdated time log for a missed workday using the Request Log feature.

📌 Note: Auto-clockout is a preventive feature to ensure time accuracy and reduce administrative effort. These settings can be adjusted anytime via the config panel by administrators.
